General Information For Therapist Positions at Sparrow Counseling

We’re Hiring: Marriage & Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (W2 Employee Position)

Sparrow Counseling is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled, compassionate therapist who loves working with individuals, couples, and families.

This is a part-time to full-time W2 employee position — not a contractor role — which means you’re supported with structure, protection, and benefits that go beyond a typical private practice setup.

We’re seeking someone who thrives in relational work — supporting couples who are preparing for big life changes (like welcoming a baby or launching a child into adulthood), navigating separation or divorce, or simply trying to reconnect in hard seasons. If that’s your sweet spot, we’d love to hear from you.

What Makes Sparrow Counseling Different?

At Sparrow, we take care of the whole therapist, not just the client schedule. We provide:

  • A thoughtfully designed office space in the heart of Downtown Homewood

  • Flexible scheduling that supports your life, not just your work

  • A paperless, HIPAA-compliant EHR that makes documentation simple and secure

  • Full administrative support, so you can focus on your clients, not billing, scheduling, or marketing

  • A collaborative team culture where feedback is welcome and growth is celebrated

  • And of course… the comfort and companionship of our beloved therapy dog, Sparrow

Our Core Values

At Sparrow Counseling, we’re guided by what really matters:

  • Collaboration — with clients, team members, and the broader care system

  • Work-life balance — we believe in rest, play, and healthy boundaries

  • Clinical excellence — we strive to grow in our skills, ethics, and outcomes

  • A growth mindset — we support each other in reaching professional and personal goals

We see individuals, couples, and families, and our goal is always healing that lasts.
